Localizada em um charmoso edifício dos anos 1950, em Hong Kong, a cafeteria nasceu com o intuito de ser um espaço de treinamentos, troca de ideias e conhecimentos entre pessoas apaixonadas por café. Por isso motivo, logo se tornou referência no assunto, pois além de cafeteria, é um verdadeiro laboratório de experiências. Dentro as muitas opções do cardápio, temos até um latte adoçado com néctar orgânico e condimentado com pimenta preta moída. Não é a toa que a Coffee Academics ganhou algumas premiações, como a melhor do ano pela revista Southside (2016) e também compor rankings como o da Forbs Asia e da Vogue.E aí, vale a pena a visita?

O ponto mais curioso desse café é que ele foi um projeto de retrofit no local onde funcionava até 1997 a prisão do vilarejo de Pentridge. O Jury Café fica em Melbourne – Austrália, e  foi projetado pelo design Biasol. De forma a dar um novo ar ao local, para dar uma melhor experiência aos frequentadores do café, optou-se pelo uso de materiais crus e totalmente naturais. Uma geometria marcante cria a identidade do local, e  a presença de cores brilhantes contrastam com as paredes escuras. Esse foi o ponto chave para deixar o ambiente animado e superar a função que o local tinha anteriormente. Nem parece uma prisão, não é mesmo?

Situado na cidade de São Paulo, o local é exatamente o que o nome sugere: um laboratório de experiências envolvendo café. Nasceu como uma escola de baristas e além dos cafés oferece inúmeros cursos sobre o tema. A experiência é única. O cardápio conta com cafés premiados e ainda brincadeiras divertidas, como: o que combina mais com café, queijo ou chocolate? Ou por que é indicado mexer o café, mesmo quando não é adoçado? O espaço é marcado pelo estilo industrial, com paredes de concreto e instalações aparentes. Na entrada, muito verde, deixando o local super agradável. A cozinha é aberta, e você pode acompanhar todo o processo de preparação do seu pedido.

Considera a sexta cafeteria mais bonita do mundo, o Cafe Majestic mostra seu valor. Uma fachada clássica e requintada de 1921 é hoje um dos maiores símbolos culturais da cidade de Porto. O cafe conta com uma história que gira em torno da elite portuguesa, e por sua proximidade com o porto, atraía visitantes também de outras partes do país. O nome original do café “Elite” não condizia com o público burguês e contemporâneo que frequentava o lugar e, após alguns anos, foi substituído pelo nome “Majestic” em referência aos cafés parisienses.  O café conta ainda com uma vista histórica super agradável, para se apreciar tanto o café quanto a cidade. Ao longo do tempo passou por algumas reformas, mas sempre mantendo o estilo original e majestoso. Além disso, a cafeteria recebeu diversos prêmios, tanto por seus cafés quanto por sua história.

Localizado na zona urbana de Budapeste, dentro de um edifício clássico de 1812, o Espresso Embassy é um café com uma singularidade arquitetônica marcante. O estilo clássico e a estrutura em arcos continuam presentes no café e contrastam com a fachada amarela. Na renovação do espaço feita para abrigar o café, as paredes em tijolo e pedra foram descobertas. O local é uma resposta arquitetônica à diversidade dos frequentadores do bairro de Malsaña, em Madrid. Seus múltiplos espaços agradam a diferentes públicos e convidam para diferentes momentos. O café possui espaços com grandes mesas para grupos, locais informais de conversa e até uma praia artificial. Os espaços certamente chamam atenção pela singularidade, com climas completamente diferentes uns dos outros.

A alegria e as cores vibrantes do México marcam presença neste café. Simbolismos do fim do século 19 e início do século 20 estão presentes nos detalhes da arquitetura. O nome é inspirado na canção “Cielito Lindo”, escrita em 1882 pelo compositor mexicano Quirino Mendoza e Cortez. Os cafés são tradicionais, produzidos com matérias-primas de antigas lojas locais.

The Grounds é uma mistura: café, restaurante, bar, padaria, fazenda, floricultura, mercado… Localizado em um antigo distrito industrial dos anos 1920, no bairro de Alexandria – Sidney, Austrália, possui a filosofia de agregar produtos de alta qualidade, inovação e tudo que envolva visão e experiências. No local são realizadas pesquisas e testes de grão, assim como plantação de ervas e vegetais utilizados no cardápio. Os salões são grandes, bem arborizados e super charmosos, sendo sede para eventos, como casamentos e festas natalinas.

Para fechar, nada melhor que um exemplo da minha cidade querida: Floripa. Com produção própria, a rede de cafés que cresce no sul do Brasil já recebeu até o apelido de Starbucks Brasileira. Suas lojas caracterizam-se pelo estilo industrial, com concreto aparente e mobiliário em serralheria. Algumas de suas lojas apresentam ainda uma decoração feita com as sacas de café penduradas no teto.  Além do café, a rede se diferencia pelo cardápio requintado e pelo aconchego, sendo também utilizada como ponto para trabalho e pequenas reuniões.
